Carson feels her cheeks tinge pink as embarrassment floods her body. “It’s, um, a conversation pie. It’s Marshmallow Mermaid.”
“That’s— Okay. A conversation pie?” A teasing smile takes over Doctor Gill’s face, and Carson thinks it might just be the prettiest smile she’s ever seen.
“I was nervous, um, about the appointment. This was supposed to help, but, um, I think it may have just made it worse, actually, so—“

“Carson…” Greta starts, her voice low.

Steve furrows his brow, thinking. Something is starting to sound eerily familiar, but he can’t quite put his finger on it.
“Here?” he asks, straining his mind in a bid to figure out why this information doesn’t feel new.
“You might’ve known it, it was pretty popular,” she says, and that’s when his blood runs cold.
Steve learns that Robin's dad is dead. Then he finds out just who her father was. Then, worst of all, he finds out she doesn't know the truth of his death.

Mike Wheeler hated his sister's boyfriends. It wasn't complicated, it was moral principle.
Steve Harrington was a jock. A hair-product-using, car-polishing, dumb-smiling jerk. Mike was a nerd. By the rules of nature and comic book law, Mike was obligated to hate him.
Then came Jonathan. He had known him almost as long as he had known Will. Quiet. Awkward. Supposedly "nice". Except the Wheeler household had thin walls, and he had heard too many late-night muffled sobs over the phone.
Conclusion: Boyfriends = bad. Boyfriends = tears. Boyfriends = Mike Wheeler's sworn enemy.
So when Nancy starts to act happy and giddy, and Mike swears he heard her giggle over the phone. Nancy Wheeler. GIGGLE! He starts to get suspicious and recruits none other than the party to help him figure it out.
