Summary
Five times Dottore observes Pantalone vulnerable, and one time Pantalone observes Dottore back.
"And I suppose if I'm ever confronted physically, I should blast them away with my signature?" Pantalone chuckled. "How very effective indeed."
"Let us hope it never comes to that." Dottore said. "But if it did, I would simply handle them in your stead."
Perhaps Pantalone should have investigated that sentence further. But he just wanted another smoke.

Summary
When he tries to lean in for another kiss, however, the banker turns his face away.
“I would let you use my body for the sake of your scientific endeavours,” he says. “But my emotions…”
“Oh, my darling banker,” says Dottore softly. He tilts Pantalone’s chin back towards him so that they’re looking into each other’s eyes. “You misunderstand me. The experiment is not intended to subjugate you.” Without breaking eye contact, he sinks to his knees, revelling in the way Pantalone’s attention is fixed intently upon him. “Quite the contrary, I wish to submit myself to you.”
Signora leaves life as a harbinger behind to get married. Dottore thinks this is the stupidest fucking thing he’s ever heard. Of course it’s his responsibility to make sure Pantalone doesn’t make the same stupid mistake. And obviously the best way to do that is make Pantalone fall in love with him instead.

Summary
A series of One Shots with no coherent plot
"Since when did you adopt strays?" Dottore noted from the doorway, stepping into the room, a fresh stack of laboratory invoices in hand. He hadn't bothered to remove his cloak, and the faint scent of sterile chemicals followed him like a shadow.
The moment Dottore's heavy boots clicked against the floor, the cat had frozen, its ears perked up, its eyes instantly locking onto the intimidating silhouette of the scientist.
"I am merely trying to save the poor creature, Zandik." Pantalone replied, leaning back against the cushions. "But he seems to lack any concept of gratitude."
