The air buzzes with neon and static. Vendors shout over synthwave beats pumping from busted speakers, steam hisses from cracked vents, and the crowd smells like sweat, fried synth-meat, and ozone. V moves through it like she owns the place—chrome catching light, silver cyberarm flexing as she pushes past a couple of tourists gawking at an underground braindance booth.She stops in front of a dingy storefront: no sign, just flickering lights and a red-hooded netrunner posted outside, chomping a cigarette filter. Inside? Supposedly, a ripper who deals in off-the-books cybermods. Probably trash. Probably a scam.
But maybe not.

Good thing V was never one to back down from a fight, even when she probably should have.
After all, there's only so far you can fall when you're already starting out at the bottom.

Summary
When V plays her game, she prowls bars and clubs looking for fresh meat to submit to her every whim. All of Night City is her hunting ground. On this night, she meets a distractingly attractive cop and her life starts to shift to orbit him. Soon enough, they uncover another predator hunting in the city and make it their mission to stop him.
This fic has some canon events and retells others in a non-canon way. It also follows a brand new storyline that sees River and V team up to solve a crucial missing person's case and do their best to take down an up-and-coming drug ring wreaking havoc across Night City's murky underbelly. Look forward to heaps of pining, yearning, smut, and thrills as events progress.

Summary
Alt was supposed to cure V in Mikoshi. V was supposed to finally be free of the Relic. This was Night City, after all. Of course it couldn’t be so straightforward. Six months left.
Meanwhile, River is gaining his footing as a PI and taking on investigations while also seeking help for V’s condition.
V and River will undertake a gritty journey in Night City fashion that will leave them asking: what price is too much to save yourself and the ones you love?
This fills in what happened immediately after Mikoshi and roughly follows through to the Sun ending (with some changes) and beyond where that ending left off, kicking off from Call it Fate.
Call it Fate ended up at the same place as canon with random smaller things that I changed, so you don't have to read it first.

Summary
V was hired to investigate the passing of the late Mayor Lucius Rhyne and teams up with an NCPD detective to solve the case. A cop and a merc, an unlikely pairing under the gloom of Night City, yet they find it hard to deny their chemistry with each passing moment spent together.
The only problem was that V was running out of time.This fic contains some rehashing of some canon events, mostly the first chapter though some will be used later on as well.
