Summary
Agatha's eyelashes brushed against something solid when she blinked, and slowly she began to regain consciousness through her other senses. She could smell the faint, familiar scent of Rio’s body wash and moisturizer, and hear their quiet breathing, steady and close. She blinked again, lashes catching once more, and her system finally caught up—Rio’s face was nearly pressed against her own as they slowly dragged their nose along the length of Agatha’s in a soft, absent-minded motion. Her own, personal, tender seahorse. Agatha felt a smile tugging at her lips before she could stop it, something warm and unguarded, and as if sensing that shift, Rio adjusted slightly, their face coming into clearer view, still a little blurred at the edges but present and open.
“Good morning,” they murmured, voice low and threaded with sleep.
“Did you just fuck the nightmare out of me?” Agatha narrowed her eyes, her voice rough, something bright still lingering beneath her skin.

Rio sat cross-legged on the bed, yellow dinosaur-print boxers bright against the dark bedding. They looked up, and that wide, irrepressible smile spread across their face—the one Agatha had learned was reserved only for her. Agatha’s gaze did a lazy sweep over Rio’s nearly bare form, landing on the ridiculous pattern. “Don’t tell me this is your favorite type of dinosaur,” she said, nodding toward the boxers.
Rio’s laugh came low and easy. “Okay, I won’t tell you that.”
Agatha blinked at her. Seriously? A T-Rex? She rolled her eyes, though there was no annoyance behind them. “This is not even the strongest kind,” she argued, because honestly, there were dozens of worthier dinosaurs.
“And?” Rio’s tone was utterly unimpressed. “I like this one.” She tugged at the waistband, as if pointing out the evidence might close the case.
Agatha clicked her tongue, shook her head, and crossed the remaining space to the bed. “You’re such a nerd,” she said, sliding easily into Rio’s lap and straddling her.

Rio nodded again, slower this time. “Whatever you want.”No. Agatha gently pecked her lower abdomen before moving up to bring them face to face again. Her hand came up to cup Rio’s jaw, thumb brushing gently along the bone before tucking it under her chin, guiding her to meet her eyes fully. “Rio,” she said, tone soft but serious. “I need your consent. Not your surrender. I need you to let me do this because you want it. Not just because I do.”
Rio fell quiet for a moment. Her brow furrowed slightly, not in conflict, but in consideration. She tilted her head. “I am unable to tell you whether I want it,” she said, honest as ever. “Because I have no idea how it feels. But I do want to try. And I want you to give me this experience.”

Jen didn’t blink. “You take one bite and then vanish into your work for seven hours straight. By the time the smell starts bothering you, it’s already spoiled. Then you throw it out and say you forgot. Again. Look, all I’m asking is to give it a try. Call the service.”

“Rio,” Agatha rasped, voice hoarse. She swallowed. “I’m bleeding,” she said, trying to make the weight of her words clear with just that one sentence.
Rio’s eyes flickered, but her expression remained steady. “So I gathered," she said, lifting her hand and wiggling two fingers that were just inside Agatha.
She didn't know what she would feel seeing her menstrual blood on anyone else besides herself. Truth be told, she didn't even think she had ever thought about that at all. It should have felt foreign, but instead, it stirred something deep inside Agatha, something primal and unexpected. She realized she was turned on by the sight of Rio’s fingers covered in her blood, the idea of it lingering on her skin, her brain wandering to filthy fantasies she hadn’t known existed. Her mind was creating a mental picture of her taking those fingers into her mouth and sucking them clean until all blood was gone.
