The thought of asking Ochaco out wouldn’t leave Izuku's mind. It still seemed too risky. He hadn’t planned on ever asking her out no matter how he wished he could. Their current friendship would remain a friendship, he assumed. Leave it as it is. Nothing wrong with that. Because he knew nobody would like him in that manner. He was just blessed to have what he had. He liked Ochaco. He wanted her to be happy, whether grown-up, single, and still happy, or in a relationship that brought her joy. As long as she was happy, that was all he could ask for. There were less regrets in leaving things as they were.
At least, he thought so at the time.
