Summary
Simon wakes up thinking the universe is a cage, survives an eel attack, and then spends the rest of his recovery absolutely refusing to be anyone’s problem.
That is, until he sees Ryland Grace dancing in a classroom like joy is something that still belongs to him. It makes no sense to Simon. It shouldn’t be possible. But somehow the sight of a ridiculous scientist swaying badly to music he can’t hear becomes the first thing in a long time that feels like life instead of survival, and Simon spends the rest of his time pretending he’s not looking for it again.

Summary
With Simon, his issues are clear. he doesn't care to hide them, nor is he good at it. It always blows up.
With Ryland... It's harder to tell. Simon knows he's been hurt, but not the extent of it. He's also rather upset that it takes a fever nearly boiling Ryland's brain for any of it to properly come to light.

Summary
Ever since Simon was brought to Erid, he and Grace can never find themselves on the same page and they do not get along. But Grace is determined to befriend him. Can they learn to live together under the same roof?
I feel guilty having written this because it is so completely self-indulgent and probably inaccurate. It was supposed to be shorter and wayyyy more angsty, but it quickly devolved into a bunch of cheesy, cliche moments with some eventual smut. I’ve literally never written a fanfiction before, so there’s not much of a plot besides these two space dudes falling in love.
