Summary
“Grace must not take off suit,” Rocky says sternly. “No part of suit, not even gloves. Not gloves. Grace, you listening?”
“Yeah,” Grace murmurs, not listening. A couple of Eridians are scuttling around him checking all of the seals on the hazmat suit at his wrists, his ankles. He’s barely aware of them. Too busy staring through the panel of clear xenonite that peers into the quarantine hospital. Staring at the prone, lone figure laid on the bed like a lamb across an altar.
“New Human has pathogens that will harm Grace,” Rocky reiterates loudly. “Big harm, will make Grace sick sick sick. Do not want Grace to get sick, statement! Only doing this at all because Grace insisted. Must take quarantine seriously!” As Grace mumbles serious yep, the Eridian drags two of his legs over his front carapace. “Give Rocky strength. Affix gloves please.”
(A bloodymary fix-it fic with extra emphasis on touch starvation, and boy is Grace ravenous.)

Or when Rocky hears Simon making some concerning sounds in the Hail Mary’s bathroom, he sends Grace to go check on him, and the man is met with quite the surprise.

Grace hit the wall hard enough to rattle the pipes and fingers crushed his throat before he realised that the man covered in blood was awake. He caught a glance of the haunted eyes before the patient was bodied by at least four Eridians in Xenonite suits.
Here’s what you need to know: Grace is established on Erid, Adrian is freshly back from their own space flight (much more successful) along with Unusual Cargo!! Very exciting! Strange cargo contains Grace two point oh! Wait-OhNo-OHNOHe’S GoTRabiEs!!

Summary
Doctor Ryland Grace is not dead. Far from it, he lived. He recovered from his starvation and (some) of his traumas, and can now live a peaceful life in his very own biodome. That is until the day that the sky cracks, and the planet shudders. Something has entered the atmosphere, bringing with it visions of viscera and tragedy, and... humanity? He can't sit by and do nothing, but will he risk the safety of Erid and it's people for his own greed?
Convict Simon, aka "The Butcher", wants to live. It's all he's ever wanted. When he's sealed away into the creaking darkness of his makeshift sub, he knows his chances are slim. That is, until he starts to hear a voice. It soothing, happy, free. It even calls itself a grace. Why does he feel like he knows that voice more and more with each passing sentence? Like he's... known it before?
Aka, Simon learns to trust again and Grace heals, and they both find love.
