After dedicating the last six years of her life to grassroots campaigning, elbow rubbing, crying, sweating and bleeding, Hermione's Lycanthropy Relief Bill was so close to being finalized in the Wizengamot, having gone through the first dire round of approval she’d failed to achieve four times previously.
It should have been a perfect victory.
Instead, she was chewing so hard on her quill to quell her barely contained fury, she was sure it would break. Hermione almost hoped it would, in the odd chance the pure rage radiating from her would channel a little unintended magic. Maybe route the spray directly across the conference table from her.
