“I was thinking- and don’t you dare make that stupid joke again!” Yuma warned. Taki raised his arms in surrender, mouth still full, but he did look up this time, curious. Yuma sighed, needing a moment to collect himself before he continued. “I have been thinking, actually, and… well. I- I want to have a baby.”
For a moment, Taki just stared. Yuma struggled not the squirm under his unreadable gaze, almost slumping in relief when he shrugged, turning back to his pancakes. “If you’re sure. You are sure, aren’t you?”
Yuma nodded. “I’m sure. I want a baby,” he repeated, eyes a little tentative as they looked at Taki, who barely glanced at him as he hummed in understanding, reaching for his glass. Yuma exhaled. Here goes. “You… can give me a baby.”
Taki choked on his orange juice.

Taki looked up at Jo through his long lashes, big expressive eyes failing to conceal his longing. “Do you have to go?” he whispered mournfully, lips jutting out into a pout.
Jo felt his breath catch at the sight. “Taki…” he started with the intention to explain – of course he had to go, that was not in his control any more than it was in Taki’s – but he knew, from the moment their eyes met, that there was nothing he could deny Taki, not with him looking at him like that. So he did the only thing he could do, and leaned in, watching as Taki slowly closed his eyes, his lips parting to welcome the soft press of Jo’s.
