Summary
The door starts creaking open. Eddie barely has time to pretend he wasn’t watching it when Buck steps out in…
So not clothes, but not a towel either. He can’t decide if his prayers were half answered or if he was actually being cursed. Maybe he did believe in God.
Buck steps out of the bathroom in a robe that was definitely not meant for a man his size. A white, fluffy robe that barely came down to mid thigh and was slightly open, giving Eddie a nice preview of his chest. Soft hairs peaked out from it.
Eddie’s mouth was dry, and maybe open slightly. He was oogling, he’s very aware of that. Drinking in the sight of his arguably huge best friend in this tiny fucking robe. Okay, definitely cursed.

Summary
Buck finds a particularly cute photo of Chris holding a baby goat, which he’s not sure Eddie has, and that is a crime. Buck needs Eddie to see this image right this second and have it in his camera roll forever.
“Eddie, touch tips?” he says mindlessly. Tapping on the share icon and opening Airdrop. No matter how much Eddie complains about technology, even he has to admit that Airdrop is a godsend function. You just have to tap the front of your phones together, and a cute photo of Chris appears. Who wouldn’t appreciate that?
Eddie chokes on his drink and splutters for a moment. Buck finds it kinda cute that even at 34 years old, Eddie can’t manage to take a simple sip. “Right now?” Eddie asks after he calms down.
“Yes, right now!” Buck hurries him along.
He holds his phone to the side where Eddie is sitting, but no tap comes.
Buck gazes up from his spot, and what he lands on is a sight for sore eyes. Or maybe the vision makes his eyes sore. He’s not really sure.
“Eddie, where the fuck are your pants?” Buck asks in a tight voice.

Summary
“Does it smell bad? Is that why you’re smelling it?” Theo makes grabby hands, despite already holding multiple items, for Eddie’s shirt, clearly not possessing any self-preservation instincts. Much like Buck. “I wanna smell too.”
“What?” Buck flushes a deep red and is suddenly glad no one but a four year old is around to witness. “No, no, it smells really g-good actually.”
Disappointed, Theo pouts. “Oh.” He takes a sip of his juice and then wipes his mouth with his sleeve. Buck sighs, another shirt to use Resolve on in the future. “You're weird.”
“Thanks, Theo.”
(Or, Eddie’s clothes keep ending up in Buck’s laundry and it’s driving Buck only a little bit insane)

Summary
Eddie smirked. It was playful and familiar, tugging at the corner of his mouth, and Buck wanted nothing more than to kiss the stupid thing right off his face.
The thought had Buck shifting uncomfortably on Eddie’s couch, a feeling of shame twisting deep in his gut. It wasn’t shameful for him to like men (that side of himself he had reconciled with years ago), but to like his best friend of eight years—to be in love with his best friend—felt wrong, like some kind of betrayalOr, Buck has realised that he is in love with Eddie and is in a battle to keep those feelings pushed way down, but that is seeming more and more difficult due to the fact that Eddie is—well Eddie.

Summary
“You’ve spent the last twenty-four hours implying that I killed my husband,” Eddie snapped, sounding a little feral to his own ears, “you refused to help me, refused to listen to me, and now you want us to be separated? Would you ask a straight couple to separate? Isn’t it a legally recognised right to be with your partner during times of duress?” Eddie was absolutely lying on that last point, he had no idea if that was true. He knew they couldn’t be called to testify on each other, but, more to the point, they weren’t even married.
Buck didn’t speak, he stared at Eddie with big eyes, like he was waiting to wake up in some cage all over again.
“I’ve been through hell today to get him back, I am not leaving him alone with some backwater, homophobic asshole of a police force for another second.”
“Mr Diaz, I hope you realise I could have you arrested for—”
“For what? Being rightfully protective? Does your town have the money for a Hollywood discrimination suit? Because his step-mother is an LAPD sergeant and I am feeling extremely litigious.”
