Dan Heng has never known how to take. He gives; whether it be his time, patience, or spear, he is devoted and loyal in his tithes. There is nothing he is not willing to offer, if it means someone else will make good use of it.
And then there is Caelus, who takes unapologetically. Viscerally.

Caelus blinks at him in surprise. "Since when have you paid attention to that kind of stuff?"
"I have always paid attention," Dan Heng says, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "But I have only recently come to realize that observation without action has little value, when action is what is required."
That sounds more profound than it should, out of Dan Heng's mouth. "Am I really coming off that pathetic?"
"Would you not do the same for me?" Which isn't a no, actually.
