Summary
J’onn floated into the room with a datapad in hand. “The system already recognizes him as an active member.”
“You already added him?” Hal asked Bruce incredulously. “We just had this discussion.”
Bruce looked down at the datapad in hand. “Is that a problem? I knew you’d be adding him.”
Barry let out a disbelieving laugh. “So you argued against it…while already putting him in the system?”
“I argued against it,” Bruce corrected, “but the outcome was inevitable.” He stood and turned toward the console. “Orientation begins in five minutes,” he said, already moving—like the conversation had ended whether they agreed or not.
Barry looked like he might actually short-circuit. “Five minutes?” he repeated, voice pitching up. “We just found out he’s already—he’s in the system, Batman!”
Batman has always believed distance keeps people safe. Then Nightwing starts working alongside him again, and suddenly the careful line between them begins unraveling in front of the entire Justice League.
What starts as quiet suspicion slowly becomes impossible to ignore: Batman and Nightwing aren’t just partners. Bruce just isn’t ready for everyone else to realize it yet.

Summary
“I hope I’ve fully imparted on you the importance of sunscreen.”
“Of course not,” Dick says. “Ever heard of ‘live fast, die young’?” He rolls over on the lounge chair, close enough that a waft of chemical coconut-banana wrinkles Bruce’s nose, but it’s the thin streak of white on his cheekbone that really gives him away. Bruce reaches out a hand to rub it in, then thinks better of it and points to it instead.
“I gave you a complete blood transfusion in Siberia.” Dick swipes at his cheekbone, affronted. “I think we’re past the point of being too shy to rub in a bit of sunscreen.”
Dick and Bruce, and a rare Sunday off.

Jason Todd has been erased from Dick's past before. He just never expected to be erased from his present, too.
Every night, Dick wakes up.
Every night, Jason tells him his name.
Every morning, Dick forgets.(Or: Five nights in a Gotham hospital room, and the impossible weight of being remembered.)

Summary
Dick raised his hand, opening his palm to watch the dirt trickle past his stained fingertips.
And it was there, trapped under the bright sky and the muddy ground in that far too bright cemetery that Dick froze.
"You are dead, aren't you?" Dick asked, voice suddenly distant.
or
Dick can't get the thought out of his head that Jason might be alive after all.
