What would have happened if Lucy Gray Baird and Coriolanus Snow ended peacefully?
This short little blip assumes that Lucy Gray and Coriolanus had not ended in a fiery blast of missiles into the air, but rather that they simply parted ways - Coriolanus to District Two and Lucy Gray into the wilderness beyond Twelve.
Picks up two years later after the events of the 10th Hunger Games. Lucy Gray has been summoned back to the Capitol to sing the opening ceremonies for the 12th Hunger Games. What will it be like for her to see her Mentor again? What would it be like for him to see his Tribute again?

She wouldn’t have known the particulars, but surely she could have pieced it all together. Still, to think he’d kill her? After everything they’d been through? He looked down at the loaded gun in his hands. Maybe he should have left it in the shed. It's as if he was hunting her.
He thought about the knife and how it paled in comparison to the weapon he was carrying.

Sejanus is killed in a mine explosion; Coriolanus is sent back to the Capitol. Lucy Gray eventually is sent to the Capitol months later. They grieve together over a shared tragedy.
