Or: The thing about Willow's will-be-done spell is that, yeah, obviously it sucks that it happened with Spike. But now that all those totally fake lovey-dovey feelings are gone, Buffy is starting to worry that she'll never get them back—with anyone. I have been a diehard Spuffy girl since 2002 and nothing - bar actual canon moments - has made me feel the way this fic did. I read most of the climax with my hand over my damn mouth like a fainting Victorian girl. I am absolutely spiralling into pink fluffy Dubble Bubble clouds of feelings, feeling deeply vindicated in my love for season 4, and absolutely undone.
