The sound of the rotation of a revolver’s cylinder made him jerk his head up. Dom was holding the small pistol in his lap. When he noticed Brian’s blue eyes on it, he emptied out all the bullets from the cylinder. It was a seven shot revolver--an older version. He picked up one of the discarded bullets, and slipped it into one of the slots in the cylinder of the revolver. Then, he spun the cylinder, and even Brian’s quick eyes couldn’t follow the single bullet’s path. When the cylinder stopped spinning, Dom placed the revolver down on the bedspread in between himself and Brian, with the handle of it facing Brian, and the barrel of it pointed straight at himself. Seven shots, one bullet. One of those seven shots had a bullet in it, but neither of them knew which shot would spit it out.
“Shoot me.”
Brian jerked away from the gun so quickly he almost fell off the bed. Placing his arms behind him to steady himself, he stared at Dom,
wondering ifpleading that he had heard the man wrong, but knowing internally that he hadn’t.- Language:

The grin faltered, then slipped, then vanished. Brian looked lost again. He licked his lips. “Wasn’t in the states. I was, uh…” He looked out the garage door, eyes scanning the street. “I was in Colombia.” The way he said it, sort of dreamy, he might as well have said, I was on the moon.

Brian thought, this is it. He’d somehow expected this to go on longer. When this deal first started to take shape, it was nothing but a blowjob with a gun to his head. He’d thought then that it was nothing but buying time, waiting for an opportunity. He’d given up on escaping, but he supposed he never stopped thinking of it in those terms: buying time. Apparently, his credit had run out.
OR: Brian shows up on Dom's doorstep in Mexico three years after he helped him escape arrest in LA. But Brian is coming off an arrangement he can hardly talk about with a dangerous man named Carter Verone.Bookmarked by r0bja
