Set during Clap Your Hands If You Believe:
“So,” Sam starts, “when you were up there with those alie – whatever they were, what did they – I mean, what happened to you?” Sam asks, matter of fact, barely bothering to register the slight grimace on Dean’s face and the tension that froze his muscles.
Dean takes another long drink from the liquor bottle and grits his teeth, “What’s it matter to you, anyway?”
**“You think this is the first time I’ve imagined you under someone stronger or bigger than you?” Sam’s swirling his glass in small circles before he finishes off the rest of the dark amber liquid. “It’s no secret how you used to get just enough money to support us when Dad had been missing longer than planned and was out of cell service.”
The blood continues to drain from Dean’s face, his palms becoming increasingly clammy around the large liquor bottle, “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I don’t need to hear this...”
