"Jin Rulan! Whatever is the meaning of this?"
Wei Wuxian woke up on a cold stone floor with chains wrapped around his wrists and throat. Beside him were Lan Zhan and A-Yuan, bound similarly by chains attached to the wall. Lan Zhan, famous for his face still as jade, was finally showing some emotion, eyes wide and furious, mouth in a trembling line. A-Yuan was weeping uncontrollably, trying to keep his sniffling quiet.
Jin Ling was standing over them, with a smile so reminiscent of his Xiao-shushu that it felt like it was Jin Guangyao with them instead of his grumpy little nephew.

Lance decided to join the Blade of Marmora alongside his husband, Keith.However, due to philosophical reasons, the two have a discourse in front of Kolivan and 50 other Galra.
Sad and dissociating, Lance and Keith go through intensive flashback dreams in which they relive their entire story together.
Nonetheless, they will soon have to face each other and resolve their conflicts.

“Hey, do you want a croissant? Or a cookie? They’re really good! My ma makes them all. What are you into? Take anything, seriously, whatever you want!” Bakery Guy keeps waving him over at a faster pace the closer Keith gets and as Keith approaches the table he backs off from where he was hunched like a dragon over a pile of leftover pastries.
“Uh…” Keith has no idea what the fuck is going on right now and he knows that his eyebrows are furrowed in a way that always makes Shiro laugh, but he can’t help it. What is happening.
Bakery Guy shoots a ray of pure sunlight out of his face directly into Keith’s eyes with his smile and tries again, “We don’t always sell everything pastry and bread wise, so I try to hook up the other vendors with some treats before we take everything to the women’s shelter downtown. Do you want anything?”

Summary
The Kingdom of Altea was quickly heading towards ruin. At least, it had been until the Royal Family's eldest daughter had been born as an alpha. The people had rejoiced at her birth, and there was hope yet for a new ruler and a future secured. Even the fact that the second Royal Child had been born a beta couldn't dampen their spirits.
Except Lance was not an beta. He was just an omega, trying his best to keep the charade going with a set of spells, pills, and all the tinctures he could brew because being an omega was dangerous. Being an omega made him something to be had, a rusted tool of barter worth less than scraps in return, and Altea couldn't afford to let him go.
But, if Lance’s luck would have it, Prince Keith of the Blade wouldn't mind being lied to too much.
