So, after Liam loses it, gives into the hot surge of anger sizzling in his blood, feels this anger on his every nerve, he turns to Theo with wide eyes as if to beg him for forgiveness, as if Theo could give him that redemption by comparison of sins. I’ve seen hell and you don’t belong there.
Theo stays, repenting his sins by way of Liam’s mouth, by Liam’s hands, by the rivers and roads that make up Liam’s body. They do this as a routine, a confessional, but they never let it see the light of day. Theo never gives in to his trembling hands reaching out to Liam when the shine of the sun can reach their intertwined fingers making it warm, making it good.Series

Will splutters. “Say what?”
“Like we’re what, Will? Say it. Why do I make your boyfriend so nervous?”
“You’re being a jerk.” He looks down and picks at a loose thread on his sweater.
Mike is being a jerk, but he’s just tired. And Will is here in Mike’s car in the middle of nowhere, protected by the growing darkness of the evening, and goddamnit, Mike wants to hear him say it. He wants to hear Will say Mike isn’t better.
Or: Mike and Will have been Mike and Will for sixteen years. Mike is not going to Will let someone else ruin that.

Well…
Will swallows, eyes focused pointedly on Mike’s long, slender fingers. The way they twist and they pull, fixing the broken strap to Will’s backpack.
Will Byers loved when Mike fixed things for him.
It was becoming a problem.
He didn’t mean to start doing it, but it just… happened. Maybe he was using Mike’s kindness against him, but it was difficult not to, and Will couldn’t feel too badly about it when Mike looked down at him with lidded eyes, one hand dragging up along Will’s side, voice sweet. “Better?”
“Yeah,” Will murmurs, grabbing the bag with trembling fingers. “Yeah, it’s better.”
Or, Will comes up with a plan that could benefit the both of them. Mike gets to be a hero in every day life, and Will? He gets to have Mike's attention.
