    Edward wouldn’t say he ended up in this kind of mindset often, but when he did, he couldn’t just shake it off. With the snow pressing closely against his boots, and the chill of the air clinging to his face, he stared at the traps he laid out for rabbits and small animals—whatever was unlucky enough to walk into the twine—and thought, with a startling kind of surprise, that he used to do this all the time. Despite how many things Edward could remember and keep track of, there were lapses in his mind where everything blended together. And every time it happened, without fail, his heart thundered too loudly, his mouth filled with spit, and he couldn’t get any words out—sick to his core—the guilt of existing when he had done plenty of things wrong before.

    While standing in the snow, staring at the traps and the foliage, he was struck with the need to throw up. Before he could even attempt to walk it off, he was interrupted and forced to persevere. Greed should be called Curious, with how fucking nosy he acted.

    (or: edward isn’t doing too well. greed just so happens to show up and take notice.)
