The idea of it makes Hannah’s skin crawl, makes her chest tighten and a nervousness coil in the base of her head. “I doubt what I need is witchcraft.”

Summary
After the fall of Sunnydale the gang regroups at a motel on the outskirts of a small California town. With nothing but a Rest Stop down the road and the quiet stillness of the desert Buffy is unable to ignore the persistent anxiety and PTSD she is experiencing even as she tries desperately to keep it from everyone around her in order to lead them all to a new life. She turns to Faith who is the only person she feels she doesn't owe anything to and the only person who might understand.
Will these two get pulled back into their defensiveness and weird mixed signals? Or will they be able to work through all of their past trauma and somehow find their way back to being the Chosen Two?

When Faith gets word that Buffy may be in danger, she breaks out of prison to return to Sunnydale. But seeing the other slayer again brings up feelings Faith would have rather left buried.
Set in season 5 shortly after Riley leaves.The first few chapters are an arc with an original villain, then after that the story becomes a reworking of season five. I occasionally borrow dialogue directly from the show, though I try to keep that to a minimum.
