Summary
Years after the end of Vox Machina’s adventuring days, death strikes out once more at Keyleth of the Air Ashari, killing those who fought only to defend her. The Voice of the Tempest brings one of her oldest friends to Zephra to raise those slain by mysterious assassins that dissipated into nothing when killed. When the rituals led by Pike Trickfoot begin to fail one after the other, Keyleth calls out in rage to the Raven Queen, and again in despair to Death’s Champion. He answers, offering a bargain from his Queen that is less than Keyleth wants, but more than she expects.
