Apollo knew Trucy's real smile too well. This wasn't it. The scars Retinz left behind were too deep to be hidden by any mask.

Summary
It is about more than simply discovering the truth.
It is seventeen years of life. It is nine years of clinging to a lie that needs to be true. It is two years of beginning to heal.
It is one second of honesty, far too late for it to ever help.

“You get it, right? If you’re working for me. And if you’re already traveling so much about it. … just come over permanently.”
There are a hundred reasons why he should insist otherwise and she knows that. He thinks too much. She knows this because she does as well. However. He’s not really capable of saying no.

Summary
"Well, Takamaki, Suzui, and Sakamoto are going to the shrine tomorrow?" Goro tilts his head and tries not to stare. He fails. "Yoshizawa invited us too."
"Big crowd," Ren says, staring at the bubbling pot. He shuffles from foot to foot, one hand on his neck like he does when he's really lying. "We'd have to…you know, accommodate their schedules."
"You didn't want to see Boss or Futaba?" Goro puts his hand on his chin and bites his lip. It all seems plausible, but the excuses pile up on top of each other. Goro's spent years studying Ren Amamiya. He knows all his tells and their severity. Ren, very deliberately, looks away. "They even texted me to ask you."
Ren doesn't like New Year's Day. Goro's determined to find out why.

Kind. Achey. Means a lot. The loneliness expressed by Ren in the previous fic comes through strongly here.

Summary
Akira, Ann, and Ryuji - as ordinary high school students as there could be, if a bit prone to acting out - had a plan. That plan involved exposing the corruption the faculty at Shujin had so willingly covered up, and that plan would be in jeopardy if anyone - especially Student Council Vice President Goro Akechi - found out about it.
Akira has his own plan to keep Akechi distracted, and he doesn't stop to consider the consequences of doing so until he's fallen in far deeper than he intended.

Summary
Six months ago, Akira Kurusu became Pokemon Champion, broke Masayoshi Shido's iron grip on the Pokemon world, and watched her rival die in her stead. Six months passed by, feeling like eternity and a moment all at once, until Goro Akechi returned. Alive, well, and with a few new teammates, Akechi seems to be doing well for herself.
Too bad Akira can't say the same, and with her friends being sent into eternal sleep one by one, things are bound to get worse.

Summary
Akechi knows that he’s not supposed to be able to hear Morgana. Maintaining the illusion of ignorance is vital if he wants to gain Akira’s trust and guarantee his death. It’s just a shame that Morgana insists on testing his patience during every interaction. The amount of insults he’s had to endure with a straight face is ridiculous. Still, he tells himself that he just has to curb his indignation until November. Then his plan will culminate in the assassination of the Phantom Thieves’ leader. With Akira gone, Shido will win the election - and Akechi’s moment for revenge will arrive.
He’s so close to victory that he can taste it in the back of his throat. If the biggest obstacle to his success is a talking cat, then he’s gotten pretty lucky.
Unfortunately, he underestimates just how much of a roadblock Akira himself will turn out to be.

Summary
It's quiet with just the two of them here, without the chatter of the other thieves. It makes Goro feel almost off-kilter, with the same warmth of Leblanc enveloping him, breaking down the jagged ice inside. Goro has been trying to keep his walls up since November, since June, and yet Akira finds a way to melt right through them anyway.
