The fic just stuck to you aint it? Ive read this in 2023 i think, I gushed at it, and would make fanfics on the likeness of this but would never post it because I dont have an authors name to honor where the inspiration struck.
But the fic is horrifying, back in the day I thought it was a bad ending for them because I want them to live and be happy but now 2026 I thought was that it was good ending for them - the world will never let them both live with one another. Try again in the next
