Summary
Arthur Kirkland is a very troubled boy, floating through life like a ghost and relying on bad things to make the bad feelings go away. His parents decide that the answer to all of this is moving their entire family to America for a fresh start. Arthur is not happy with being uprooted from his life in London and being pulled across the ocean to a small town in the middle of nowhere, to a creepy old house that people claim is haunted. But when strange things begin happening around the house, Arthur realizes that maybe the claims hold some truth to them after all...
It's a shame, because he was actually starting to like this new town, just a little bit. There's a certain charm to his overgrown backyard, his new friends, and that boy with the sky-blue eyes.

Summary
Arthur Kirkland is a nurse at Labyrinth Penitentiary, a place for dangerous criminals and metahuman superheroes to live out their sentences. It's a more dignified means of paying for his years of crime than rotting in a cell. Arthur despises it but it's a job like any other, a leash he's willing to deal with if it gives him his relative freedom.
