Summary
Someone's messed with some of the shrines, and it's up to Link to find out what the hell is going on. And alright, maybe it's less a man hunt than it is a series of rescue missions, but as the Champion and the only one able to travel across the shrines he's the only chance these mysterious travelers have.
If only the shrines weren't throwing a huge hissy fit, and the monsters weren't acting stronger and smarter and weirder than even before the Fall of Ganon, and the travelers weren't refusing to patiently wait for him in the relative safety of the shrines, and-
And it's just been a long few days, okay?

“We’re gonna die in this Hyrule!” Wind whines, falling to his knees. “The Heroes of Courage! Defeated for lack of civilization and in the middle of fucking nowhere!”
“Come on, where’s your sense of adventure, Sailor?” The captain asks, reaching out to ruffle Wind’s hair and looking unfazed when his hand is slapped away by the grumpy teen.
“Back where I left the last fucks I had to give: at the bottom of the river we were spat out days ago.” Wind replies, ignoring Sky’s exasperated ‘Wind’ along with Time’s own warning glare.
“Same,” Legend says dryly from the side.
Wind jumps at the validation. “See!!”
(Or the one where the chain ends up in a new Hyrule and, while they're yet to find the last Link to their chain, they keep meeting up with a hylian named Champ in the oddest ways. All of them except for Twilight. Spoilder alert: all of them need to learn how to ask the right questions.)

No Prince could hold the Power of the Goddess. So what was a kingdom to do when Death looms, and a Prince is born instead?
......
The Chain aren't sure what to make of this new Hyrule. For one thing, the sky is red. And there are a lot of ruins.
......
Being pulled away from home without a chance to even get to know it sucks. So does having intense flashbacks to a life not yours, and being a pawn in a cosmic game of dick measuring? Wild could do without.
-------Fic later leads to more adult themes, heavy physical and mental angst and anxiety. But eventually a happy ending. Reader discretion is highly advised.

Sky, figuring that the laughter signaled the end of the fight, reassured the villagers and walked over. He stared at the scene before him.
“I hate you all,” Hyrule murmured as he climbed the lynel and pulled his blade from its behind.
The Old Man sighed, but his lips were turned up. He looked over his counterparts for injuries. Finding none, he investigated the strange potion that had hit him. It looked like lime green milk that someone had dumped glitter in, but it had the consistency of syrup.
Or: Time gets de-aged into Mask. No one knows what is happening anymore. Warriors is an eternally underpaid babysitter.

Summary
The group made their way over to the two Hylians, where the individual they had rushed to save was conversing with the newcomer. The newcomer was heavily scarred on his left side, and from the bow on his back, he was the archer who had brought down many of the monsters.
“Hello,” Time said, as he nodded to them. “Could you point us toward Castle Town?”
The scarred man blinked. “Nanda?”
…
The Heroes of Courage are spread across ages. Hundreds to thousands of years between them. It should come as no surprise that they are having some trouble communicating. But when they’re dropped in a world of alien technology and a language wholly unfamiliar, they really wish Hylia had thought ahead.
Or, the gang-meets-wild fic in which there is an appropriate amount of linguistic drift between Links, Hylia does not provide Google Translate, and Wild is a linguaphile among other things.

Summary
Link feels like he’s forgetting something.
There are names on the tip of his tongue that he just can't quite recall. Trinkets in his bag that don’t belong to him, scars he’s not sure when he got, tendencies and habits he’s never had before.
Really, he’s been living in his house for a year now. Why is his first instinct to pull out a bedroll at night? It takes him an extra second at dinnertime to remember he has to actually get up and cook it-- what’s that all about? Since when, on his harp, do his fingers drift to notes by muscle memory of tunes he’s never heard of?
But he’s solved a few puzzles in his time. He’s solved seven-- no, six-- (seven? Where’d that number come from?)-- six adventures’ worth of them. And that’s more than enough to figure this single one out.
Write down for the history books that the Hero of Legend is nothing if not curious, and nothing if not determined.
Or: in which the timeline's gotta pretend to stay intact somehow. They all get around it anyways.

Wild did not speak, though he did make sounds every so often. As in, infrequently, often. A hum on this tone, a sound in that pitch, but far enough apart that it was almost always easy to miss.
When Sky led the group to the Earth Spring out of collective curiosity, Wild seemed to find it in himself to make sounds of interest or curiosity with noticeable tandem. Then, he found the Goddess Statue.
The draw of a blade had never before sung so literally.

Summary
Wild had dreamt of this moment all his life. Well – all his memorable life.
His nerves were alight, bouncing on the balls of his feet in anticipation. It wasn’t quite the electric feeling of preparing to leap from a cliff, winding up for a flurry rush, or the thrill of a steep shield-surf – but this race held a rare energy like no other.
His friends were joining him, and he had free-reign to go all-out.

Summary
Wild was an enigma for many reasons, with the most noticeable being his hero's title. Or rather, lack thereof. That was not to say that he didn't deserve to hold the title of hero, for he was just as courageous as the other 'heroes.' No, Wild lacked a title on account of the fact that his purpose had yet to be fulfilled.
Unlike the other heroes, Wild hadn't defeated a great evil, or saved a princess, or even overcome some personal hardship. He was a kid, whisked away from his land in the middle of his knight training. After just under a year of traveling with the heroes from his story books, Wild was pulled back to his own Hyrule to finally earn his name.
Months passed by without word on his condition, with hope of Wild's return slowly shrinking in the hearts of the other heroes. And once all hope had faded away, they found themselves in a Hyrule of ruin.
And Wild’s name began to make sense.

Summary
"From what I saw, it looked like a teenager – maybe sixteen or seventeen? Blonde hair, blue tunic. Had a sword and a bow. I tried to approach, but uhh… long story short, bad timing on my part, he saw something weird and I think I might have spooked him. He pulled out his bow before I could even blink. I think it was a warning shot? Hard to say. I tried to calm him down, tried to talk with him, and that’s about the time he threw the bananas and ran off."
Basically a "gang meets Wild" fic where Wild is a skittish, traumatised, low self-esteem loner who is very stealthy, very fast, not particularly honest and also capable of teleporting. Shenanigans ensue. Features a mix of humour, fluff, hurt/comfort, angst and action, with some of that tasty found family stuff. Things work out eventually, but expect emotional and physical owies along the way. Major themes are in the tags, with some additional CWs listed in the chapter notes - see Chapter 1 for a consolidated list.
Characters and basic premise are from the Legend of Zelda series and the Linked Universe AU, plus some common headcanons from AO3. Not LU canon-compliant. Please DO NOT repost any of my fics.
