Summary
Steve’s return the infinity stones time tour was nearly complete. As he placed the Tesseract into the compartment at SHIELD headquarters, he gently closed the door, hoping to not only attract attention to himself, but so as not to disturb the cube. Satisfied that everything went as planned, he started to make his way towards the exit when he heard voices approaching. He ducked into the closest door, and when he realized whose office he was next to, a sense of deja vu swept through him.

Summary
It's a more melancholy Christmas for Steve this year, after everything that happened when SHIELD had found the Winter Soldier. He just wants to keep things low key, and spends most of his time donating to Toys for Tots anonymously so it doesn't get spun into some PR event rather than just charitable giving. However, his holiday may be looking brighter when Darcy runs into him carefully avoiding the Barbie aisle at FAO Schwartz.

“What’s the plural for a group of Steves?” asks Natasha, and it’s weirdly comforting that the question has a hint of whimsical hysteria to it. Good, Bucky’s not the only one who’s not dealing well with all of this.
“A clusterfuck,” he says. “A clusterfuck of Steves.”
Despite how little sense his life has made since he got on a battlefield to fight a bunch of aliens, Bucky's pretty sure he knows exactly what's happened when a much older Steve appears after the mission to return the Infinity Stones: he left Bucky behind to get his much deserved happily ever after in the past. Only then another Steve shows up, and another. And Bucky realizes he still hasn't got any idea what's going on.
What he does have is a whole lot of Steves, a fraught relationship with his own Steve, and tentative plans to leave. But the more Bucky talks to all these different versions of Steve, the more he begins to wonder if leaving really is what's best for him and his Steve, or if there's a way to make something new out of their long friendship.
