It definitely wasn't in line with the company's ethical stance, but Song Lan's performance had risen steadily since he began hooking up with Xiao Xingchen. It was the perfect agreement, and he couldn't have imagined anything better.
Now, however, things were changing.
The promise of that change hovered over Song Lan, following him like a cloud of smog. He'd acclimated to the rise in title and responsibility with ease under Xiao Xingchen's instruction, but that was when it was just the two of them.
The week prior, while they were in bed discussing Song Lan's next promotion, Xiao Xingchen informed him that they would be introducing another person into their relationship.
