Good girl Caitlyn and Dirty talking Vi.
    This is pure smut, enjoy.

Currently a oneshot, BUT if enough people like it, I have some ideas to write a few more chapters.

    Summary

    “Had to ask,” she says.

Caitlyn’s lips twitch into an amused smile.

    “Did you really?”

“Propriety and all,” Vi says. “Would look bad if we mysteriously failed to show up to the celebratory drinks, to the afterparty.”

    A pause.

    “It is our wedding.”

    Summary

Maddie hands one cup and saucer to Caitlyn and takes the other to lean against the spiral staircase. She watches Caitlyn sip her tea, grimacing through the initial burn. She never let it cool down, always scalding her mouth but never complaining. There’s something to it, Maddie thinks. To her draw to pain, to the impatience that puts her there.

Maddie smiles behind her cup as Caitlyn hisses through her second sip. There’s something to it.

caitlyn's rebound, as seen through the eyes of someone who hates her desperately: one maddie nolen.

    Summary

Dr. Caitlyn Kiramman possesses all she once longed for—titles etched in brass, findings sealed in journals, her name a current in every quiet murmur of reverence. Her life is spotless. Measured. Acclaimed.

    And grey.

A soft, unyielding grey, settled not just on her skyline but somewhere deeper—in the hollow beneath her ribs, in the stillness of her breath.

She tells herself this is contentment. That certain things—certain colors—are best folded into the past.

But color is relentless. It returns in flickers—unexpected, uninvited, undeniable. And when a pair of grey eyes finds her again, Caitlyn begins to remember everything she tried to forget.

Even the ones she left in that sun-stained garden in Italy.

    OR

Berlin, Winter, 1988. Five years since the final chapter of Hint of Blue where Caitlyn left Vi to chase a future built in sience and silence. She waited. Vi never came. So she moved on—
or tried to. Life without the poet turned colorless. Until it didn't.

    Summary

Ask her if she reads. No, dumb—she clearly reads.
Say something about the weather. What are you, eighty?
Comment on the book. Too obvious. She’ll know you were staring.
    Just say literally anything—

“Here you go.” Vi set the coffee down gently, voice a little hoarse. “Black. No sugar. Same cupcake as last time.”

Cait looked up at her with that soft, surprised smile again—like Vi had done something remarkable just by remembering.

“Thank you,” she said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “You’re very kind.”

Vi scratched the back of her neck, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. She didn’t want to leave. She wanted to stay right there.

But her throat went dry. The café buzzed around them, and Vi’s brain—usually quick, sharp—offered nothing.

    Idiot.
    __________

As December nears, Cait arrives in Zaun, hoping to find a sense of home—something to anchor her through the harshness of military training. She finds it in a quiet café, and in the girl behind the counter who takes her breath away. Truth is, they leave each other breathless.

Neither of them is prepared for what fate has in store for their tragic, yet beautiful story.
