Summary
“Mom, who was–” The curse that Percy let loose was enough to make Poseidon’s eyebrow lift.
“I take it you did not tell your mother I was coming.” Poseidon smiled but didn’t feel it. Weariness overcame him. He would not allow his disappointment to show. Percy deserved to rage, dismiss and berate him should he choose to. Poseidon would not allow anything that could cause Percy–too forgiving as he was–to feel guilt. And so he would hide any hurt from him.
Sally turned on Percy, her eyes wide. “You–you knew he was coming?”
The question hung unasked between them all: do you want him here?
Or Percy, Poseidon have dinner in a Chinese restaurant and talk about Tartarus, the invention of chopsticks, and maybe just maybe reach some sort of understanding.

Summary
“I don’t blame you.” Percy said with a frown. “But–but I guess I’m just let down. I just wanted you to hear me, to help, to tell me who I was or what was happening.”
“I heard you.” His father’s voice was ragged. “Twice.”
Percy looked up at him in surprise. His eyes locked on to the man before him. Hurt that he didn’t know he could feel, not in such intensity, bloomed in Percy’s chest.
“You ignored me?” Percy said angrier then he intended the words to come out.
“No.”
“No?” Percy stood up and rounded on him. The smoldering ruins of his second home curled into the sky behind Poseidon. “Then tell me where were you?”Series

Summary
Percy had always hated his birthday. As a kid, his mom was typically working on his birthday and Smelly Gabe definitely wasn’t going to do anything for it. That meant he usually spent it alone. He never had a cake, a party, or many gifts. His mom would usually get him some candy from her store and try to get him something with whatever money she could spare. But it was never a happy day for Percy. It was more a reminder of how lonely he felt.
Every year, he was always surprised to find he survived. As a kid, he always assumed that Gabe would kill him sooner or later. As he got a little older, he assumed he would do something to himself. Then there was the prophecy, of course. Overall, Percy was never very excited about his birthday.
OR
Percy is forced to celebrate his birthday. It’s too bad he can’t be forced to be happy.

Summary
“Medea-” His voice left him as Biance turned his way, a knowing in her dark eyes that nearly brought him to his knees. Percy cleared his throat, and tried again. “The vein, we have to…cut the vein.”
“And what happens after?”
Silence was the broken whispers only answer.
The pressure around his hand increased, cold, dark fingers interlocking with his own.
Riptide appeared with the golden glow of iridescent starlight, vibrating with something he weirdly felt was mourning, and they stepped towards the hatch, hand in trembling hand.
Bianca shut her eyes tight, a somber sorry swallowed by a mechanical tomb.
Percy felt nothing but grief.

Summary
It was funny, really, how easy it was to read the demigod. Or maybe the guy let him. It hadn't always been like this, where Nico could communicate with Percy by a mere glance. But, after the war…
He was tired. Being angry didn't seem as good of a motivator anymore, especially when he saw the state his friend was in as he held the limp body of the Hermes kid. Covered in blood, shaking, eyes distant and cold and haunted.
Apparently, when two cursed, powerful demigods backed by primordials use ancient weapons to fight each other, steel skin isn't very useful.
OR:
Percy kinda sorta recognizes Nico in SoN, and they talk. Just a study.Bookmarked by percy2jacksons
