"Leon," Chris interrupts him, staring at the various medications now settled atop the duvet, "...did you buy the whole pharmacy?"
Only then does he realize that alright, fine, maybe he went a little overboard. There was still half a bag full of products downstairs on the kitchen counter, whatever he couldn't fit in his pockets. Leon stares at Chris as a heat burns the back of his neck.
He huffs, "It's been awhile since I've dealt with infected that didn't involve a gun, ok? Shut the hell up."

Six months ago, they had a barbecue out here. A rare occurrence where most of their friends, what was left of family, had a blessed overlap of time off, and naturally, Chris wanted to bring his people together to celebrate with perfectly done burgers and hot dogs and good beer. Shitty music. Good company, hearty laughter. A bit of sunlight before the night came back. Because it always came back.
Now, the same people sit in folding chairs and listen to Claire Redfield talk about how her brother made all of their lives better.

Summary
Leon S. Kennedy is the newest artist at Raccoon City Ink, and struggling to find steady clientele. Maybe because he's still considered young for the job at twenty-three, or maybe because he's not had his own chair longer than a few months. But a spitfire college student takes a chance on his work, and he finds her good company. He didn't think much of it when she tells him she'll bring her brother along to their second session, just happy to have made a new friend.
Not until said brother walks in looking like chiseled granite with biceps bigger than Leon's head.
