Wooyoung knows what a warning sounds like, coming from Hongjoong: Wooyoung-ah, don't eat too fast; Wooyoung-ah, there's cameras, please behave; Wooyoung-ah, don't overdo it. Wooyoung is intimately acquainted with every inflection of caution, warning, hesitance and anxiety that Hongjoong can produce.
She doesn't hear any of those in her voice now.
They watch each other, breaths audible in the suffocating tension of the room, until Wooyoung asks quietly, "What?"
Hongjoong just watches her for a moment, teeth sinking into the plush of her bottom lip. Wooyoung leans in closer to her, as if reeled in by the shimmer of her lip gloss. A dark strand of her hair falls forward over her shoulder, swinging forward and tickling Hongjoong's arm. She shudders and asks, "What are you doing?"
Wooyoung smiles at her, heart quickening in her chest, nerves squeezing her temples until she feels like they'll crack. She tightens the grip of her fingertips along Hongjoong's ribs and presses her thumb harder against her piercing. Hongjoong gasps, and Wooyoung can't help herself.
"Research," She answers, zealously, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Summary
Regrettably, the first thing that Hongjoong noticed about him was that he was extremely gorgeous. It wasn’t uncommon for vampires to be pretty, Hongjoong guessed, it was about the same rate as humans, but this one stuck out. He was so beautiful it almost seemed fake, but he didn’t have any of the obvious trademarks of the beauty spells some people used. He was genuinely ethereal.
Hongjoong dug his nails into his palm briefly to keep from thinking about that for too long. He needed to keep his head on straight. Just because this vampire was attractive did not mean he’d be a good person, and Hongjoong wasn’t going to let himself be taken advantage of.
He cleared his throat as he got in range of the vampire, who looked up and gave Hongjoong a polite smile, tucking his phone into the small purse at his side. “Ah, you must be Hongjoong.”
“You must be Seonghwa.” Hongjoong said, a little surprised when the vampire stuck out a hand for a shake.
