Time has passed. The city of Townsville has grown, as has its protectors and its threats. Yet all the same, it feels like nothing has changed. The Professor will always be making new inventions, the Mayor will always be elbow deep in a pickle jar, the bad guys will always be the bad guys and the Powerpuff girls will always be there to stop them.
Right?
That's what everyone believed, up until some very familiar looking girls fall out of the sky to warn them of a much darker future than anyone could have anticipated. Some things are just inevitable, but maybe its not too late to prevent the worst that's yet to come.

Coiny, who had been leaning into Pin with an obnoxious knowing look on his face, went blank and sat straight up. Pin put a hand over her mouth.
Firey wanted to kill them both.
On a break from TPOT challenges, Coiny and Pin come to visit Dreamier Island for a week or so. Completely by accident, they give Firey the opportunity he's been desperately hoping for.

Leafy awoke in her cabin with a gasp, tears streaming down her face, shaking all over. Another nightmare. This was the third time this week alone, was it not? Another dream about her past. Awesome.
She rubbed her eyes, ridding her tears. It was still dark out, though she didn't feel so sleepy anymore. No point in tossing and turning in an attempt to sleep, then. What time is it, anyway?
Maybe taking a walk will do her some good.
