No matter the app’s prediction, though, Gotak failed to put his pain medication in his bag last night, preferring to sleep longer than worry about the possible future discomfort.
His knee didn't particularly hurt; it gnawed. Which arguably was worse, it felt like the pain was playing a cruel game with him, of prying it out with each painful throb, only encouraged by the rain and thunder. It always got like that during bad weather. Gotak often chose to ignore it. Most of the time, he didn't have to walk anywhere or… be around Baku.

Gotak's knee starts to hurt because of the bad weather, so Baku helps, always does. The slow evening turns into unspoken confessions and spoken truths after such a long time of repressing them.
