Summary
Somewhere through the blurry haze, there’s someone calling her name. It's distant, a familiar voice, layered beneath a metallic clanging that slices through her aching skull.
As she’s pulled from her chair, Lucy knows she should fight back, but she can’t—her body feels like dead weight. She’s dragged until her torso hits a solid edge.
The world refuses to come into enough focus to make sense of anything, but she still hears that voice, and holds onto it like it's an anchor. It's hoarse, desperate, terrified, it’s—
Tim. Oh, God, it’s Tim.
She’s barely managed to pull the pieces together before her head is plunged underwater.
Or:
What if the man who came to Tim’s door wasn’t just passing on a message? What if he was dangerous, and Tim and Lucy ended up in harm’s way? A kidnapped!Chenford 714 canon divergence. -

Summary
“This was not a good idea.”
Tim huffs a low laugh that lands somewhere between exasperation and mirth. “Well, you did think the world was about to end.”
Lucy's mouth falls agape.
“Me?” The exclamation cuts through the store a little louder than she intends. “It was your idea to start drinking.” She begins to pace, every footstep feeling strange, and her panic ratchets up surprisingly fast. “How do we get back to the station? We can’t drive, and we can’t exactly get our co-workers to come pick us up.”
“Definitely not,” Tim agrees, setting his bottle next to hers. “We’d get fired on the spot.”
“Then what do we do?”
“Uh…” He glances out the window like the world outside has any answers. “I guess we walk.”

Unable to drive after their end-of-the-world drinking session, Tim and Lucy walk back to the station. Crack-ish, could be a 206 missing moment.[Chenford Week 2026 — Day 10: 7-A-19 Day, Funny/Crack]

Summary
“Did you do this?” Lucy asks.
Tim just shrugs coyly, taking the stem of his glass between his fingers. “I might’ve put a request on the booking. We’re here to celebrate, after all.”
He lifts his glass in a toast, and Lucy can already feel herself getting teary-eyed.
“To Mid-Wilshire’s newest sergeant,” he says. “I already know you’re going to be the best of us.”
Or:
Once they're back together, Tim takes Lucy out for dinner to celebrate her promotion. S8 missing moment.[Chenford Week 2026 — Day 9: Milestones]

Summary
They’re supposed to be enjoying the bliss of being engaged, celebrating the concept of forever. But she barely got time to process the new weight on her finger before feeling the sharp sting in her neck.
And now, Lucy looks at her ring, and…
It’s not that she doesn’t love it. She does, she really does. Even before she knew what was about to happen, she’d been trying to commit that perfect moment to memory, and she’d said as much to Tim.
But now, the memory is clouded and blurred, viewed through a haze of sedatives. The sunset is marred with black spots, the crash of waves drowned out by the ringing in her ears and the distorted talk of payback, as one of the happiest moments of their lives grinds to a halt.
Or:
After their kidnapping, Tim has a question to ask Lucy—again. S9 spec fic.[Chenford Week 2026 — Day 8: Hurt/Comfort & Angst, S9 Speculation]

Summary
Strange and unfamiliar as it was, last December wasn’t just another month Tim had to white-knuckle his way through. No, for the first time in years, it was littered with constant reminders that he was loved, sharing hot chocolate and mulled wine after evenings spent wading through crowded markets and funfairs and Christmas tree farms, Lucy’s hand clasping his through it all.
And then, in the soft light of spring, he ruined everything.
Time is still passing in the wake of his mistakes, though, and this year Tim swears the December cold is sinking into his bones in a way it never has. His evenings slip by in hollow silence, spent staring up at the ceiling, playing back memories of ice skating and endless joy bathed in firelight. Memories he thought he’d never make, now ones he might never make again.

In the wake of their breakup, Tim and Lucy's winter nights feel a little colder.[Chenford Week 2026 — Day 7: Favourite Holiday/Time of year]
