Rome didn't let go of his wrist. Instead, he used his other hand to steady Mok’s jaw, his thumb tracing the frame near his temple. A devastatingly fond smile tugged at Rome's lips.
"I don't care," Rome whispered, leaning back just enough to brush his nose against Mok's. "Keep those stupid glasses on. You look ridiculously handsome in them."
Rome is a commanding but a kind man of few words. Mok is a gentle soul trying to navigate his new life without causing trouble. Tied to each other by an arranged marriage that gradually changes everything, they find their footing between the awkward formalities of a wedding and the quiet intimacy of a shared apartment and eventually learn that a marriage of convenience can become something much heavier, much more intense and much more beautiful.
