"Miss Tingyun and I just wanted to put forth a proposition for you. A little birdie told me that you like to watch, if you catch my meaning. Am I wrong?"
Sunday's blood ran cold. So she did know.
The Halovian bowed her head low, tucking her wings in close to her face. Perhaps she could resolve this with a little smooth talking — she had plenty of experience with that, after all.
"Gener— Madam Yao, I sincerely apologize. It was never my intention to intrude on your... private moment with Lady Tingyun. I assure you, I'll think nothing of it going forward."
"Hmm," Yao Guang hummed, amused. "Something tells me that isn't quite true."

Kaoru’s face lit up. “You’re going to do the show?”
“I’m considering it. I spoke with Maya. It seems important to her, and I can’t deny that her casting choices were apt for the script.” Almost too apt. Chisato briefly wondered if she should be offended that Maya saw her as a caged bird, cynical of true love and imprisoned by the entertainment industry. She decided she was probably overthinking it.

Ratio finds himself on his knees at the receiving end of a scintillating scheme orchestrated by his so-called business partner. One that vastly complicates his view of Aventurine's intentions towards him, and reveals just what (or who) Ratio is willing to do for Aventurine in turn.
