Summary
My first ever ao3 work!
I’ve had this story in my head for ages, and these beautiful characters for longer. Fleshing out the story and making the plot work has been painfully difficult, however. My room mate convinced me to just write what I wanna write and let the story work itself out, so here I am! I hope you all love it as much as I do. “What’s this?” she asked.
Feyre untangled herself from their embrace and glanced behind, following Elain’s gaze. Elain took a closer look.
It was some sort of a plastic bag with fabric handles, the kind of bag you find in somewhere like IKEA but dark gray instead of blue, and it was packed with… clothing. From what Elain could see, the clothing most definitely didn’t look like something Feyre would wear, and it was quite… bigger. What was it, on top, a green hoodie? A jacket?
“Oh, it’s from Lucien. My friend who helped me uh, move here? I told him about the Alpha on the line and he said if I didn’t find anyone to help, I could have something of his at least for the scent in the—in the nest. He smells okay,” Feyre stammered out and then wrinkled her nose. “I honestly don’t think it’s a good idea to use any of his stuff—I don’t want to complicate our friendship—but I didn’t want to seem like a jerk, so I accepted, it was nice of him.”
Elain tried to look away from the bag, but for some reason could not.

“Welcome in,” Elain called as the bell above the door chimed, not looking up from the monstera plant she was tending to. The tension in her shoulders eased as she took a deep breath, smelling bergamot, pine, and a hint of cinnamon. An overwhelmingly pleasant smell, she immediately took another deep breath. It itched something deep in her brain.
Looking up, she found a tall, broad, gorgeous man standing just inside her shop, his eyes locked on her.
“C-can I help you?” She asked, swallowing hard at the sight of him, even better than the smell.
His auburn hair was long, but tied up in a messy knot on top of his head. His cream colored button up was rolled up to his elbows, displaying his tan, muscled forearms. His faun colored trousers hugged his thighs in the most sinful way and Elain quickly averted her gaze at the realization she was staring.
“Yes, actually,” his voice was even more sinful than his pants, “I’m hoping to buy something for my mother.”
