He wanted to keep his brother safe, to build a village where they could play all day long without worrying whether the next day would be their last. In a way Madara got his wish - after one near fatal confrontation with Tobirama his brother's life as a shinobi was over and with his useless legs he would never get far away from Konoha.
He wanted Hokage title. His wish came true after Hashirama’s death.
He used to long for people’s love and respect. Ironic how he received it after he stopped caring what people thought of his actions.
After all the pain and disappointment, after getting over the resentment the only thing he wanted was to keep Tobirama by his side.
