Summary
It’s a Friday afternoon. On Fridays, Sirius goes to the pub with his friend James. James sometimes brings his wife along, and sometimes just countless pictures of his son. Sirius sees the kid at least twice a week but still he looks at each photo as if it were a great treasure.
Remus goes in fifteen minutes after them, sometimes half an hour. Sometimes he doesn’t go in at all and sits in his car instead, waiting for the bartender to call last orders. Twice he felt brave and sent a drink to Sirius’ table, but left before it was delivered. Both times the bartender told him the same: this is a pub, mate. You want to talk to him, go talk to him, I ain’t doing table service.

“And this is Remus,” Poppy says when she realizes that he is not about to pause his work without being asked to.
So Remus looks up.
And something just stops.
Sirius Black has a stupid name and long black hair and he is wearing a light gray button down that makes the gray of his eyes really stand out. High cheekbones and flush lips and long eyelashes makes him pretty in a highly androgynous way and Remus feels the need to clench his jaw tightly.
Remus may be petty, and he may be angry, but he was never one to be impolite so he stands up to shake the newbie's hand. It’s all long slim fingers that look porcelain in his scarred hand and it feels wrong.
The two of them are not supposed to hold hands, touch skin, exist in the same dimensional plane - that much is very clear to Remus who just says, “Remus. Welcome.”

Summary
After a brutal full moon, Remus wakes broken, bloodied, and hurting more than usual — body aching, chest torn open, and throat raw from howling in isolation. Left to recover alone in the hospital wing, he begins to question why his friends hadn't been there along side him during the moon, even though he knows the risks they take every month.
When Sirius visits, guilt in his eyes and a stack of homework in his arms, he comes bearing more than an apology — he brings one of his jumpers, warm with his scent and love, like he always does when Remus needs him most.
Wrapped in Sirius’s jumper and arms, tucked safely under the blankets with whispered confessions and giggles that echo past pain, Remus is reminded that healing doesn’t always come from potions.
Sometimes, it’s in the fabric of the one who loves you.
