“Not always,” said Agent Choi. Grapes looked up, a little caught off guard, and met his gaze midair. Choi could read a strange emotion in his wide black eyes: something sad, something he recognised in his own visage in the mirror, something he saw in every Bureau agent he'd ever met, in all the good people he’d lost.
