Just her and Maki, the two of them, hiding in the farthest corners of the estate, tucked somewhere behind all the maple trees and hand-planted bonsai.
Mai supposes breaking up with your twin isn’t the norm, but they’ve never truly pretended to be anything but who they are. Normalcy is grossly overrated anyhow.
