His fingers grab at nothing.
“Oh, right I took this from you in the cab.” Dazai informs, standing up smoothly and Chuuya watches as the rope that had been tying his hands together pools at his feet on the floor. Dazai holds the knife lazily, twirling it once before holding it out for Chuuya to take.

Summary
Suguru has heard stories about him, of course - Gojo Satoru, the Strongest Sorcerer, killed Ryomen Sukuna and his host more than a decade ago. Notoriously reclusive. Sometimes he comes by Jujutsu Tech and then all the students and auxiliary managers flock to the courtyard to see him.
He towers over people, so tall and big that Suguru would have to strain to look at him. Thin scars on his face like slashes, but he's no less handsome because of them. White hair and the beginning of crow's feet around his startling blue eyes.
He thinks he's dreamed about Gojo Satoru before.

After Satoru kills Suguru during Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, and he gets reincarnated. They meet some years later.

“So what prompted this call,” Suguru asked. “Checking in on my health?”
“Don’t flatter yourself, old man.” There was something on the other end of the line, the sound of fabric rustling. “I’m just looking for a quick fuck, and you did give me your number. So, like, seemed rude not to use it.”
His words were as casual as they were boisterous. Suguru couldn’t help but think there was something deeper going on. There was no way this was just a booty call from a bored rich kid with an itch to scratch.
“A quick fuck,” Suguru repeated, letting the words sit between them. “That’s what you’re after.”

Summary
Waking up miles away from the ocean, Gojo, a marine biologist, receives a message one morning from one of his coworkers. They have managed to catch a ningyo—a monstrous apex predator, half human and half fish.
When Gojo first meets the animal, they have a catastrophic first meeting. A possible omen for the next series of events that would lead Gojo to try and divert the experiment from his fated final as a scheduled vivisection.

“I wanted to—” The words choke and fragment. “If things were different—”
“Things aren’t different,” Suguru says. His own voice is a stranger. “Things are exactly as they have to be.”
It would be easy, right now, to fall back into the rhythm they’ve always had. Satoru reckless, Suguru the net that catches him. But the scaffold of their world is too visible, the constraints too tight to pretend otherwise. Suguru can feel the weight of the crown in every word.
“Will you come to the ceremony?” Satoru asks, and Suguru hates him a little for it. Hates him for the desperate hope in his eyes.
“If that’s what you wish.”
“It’s not what I wish.” Satoru laughs again, a wet sound. “But it’s what I have.”
///OR: Prince Satoru Gojo is bored. He's always bored. Bored of the endless stream of women, bored of his duty to his kingdom. Then a new knight appears at the palace, and it tips his world upside down.
