Summary
I was listening to Ma Meilleure Ennemie by Stromae and babbling to my friend who loves making au’s and crossovers and I was struck with something. A stroke of crin-genius. Ada and Leon in the place of Powder and Ekko. For anyone who hasn’t seen Arcane don’t worry, premise is: Leon is sucked into another universe’s version of himself’s body. Ada is there but she’s… different. EVERYTHING is different.
Since I’m not creative at all I had a bit of a hard time thinking of what would be different in the universe he’s sent to, so I won’t go into a lot of detail. You’ll get about as much of an introduction to everything as we got watching Arcane (you go into it knowing as much as Leon does about what’s going on.)

Leon had much work to do if he was going to make it out of the RPD alive. It didn't help a big tyrant was chasing him throughout the place, making it almost impossible to catch a moment's peace.
Using acid on the monster proved useful to stunning it for a running break... but came with consequences.

Ryland Grace is Dying.
It's not like he consciously knows that he's dying at first. It's slow, gradual in the same way a glacier moves. Depression comes for him like a reaper in the night. Touch-starvation lurks just below his skin, threatening to strangle him. Little by little until it's all piled up and there's no escape.
Simon is Dying.
He knows this. He remembers the blood filling the SM-13. He remembers yelling and screaming as he drowned. He remembers doing everything to save that goddamn black box. But now he's no longer dying. At least not physically, psychologically is a completely different story.

Grace's cheeks flushed red. In all honesty, he'd completely forgotten why they had come all this way in the first place. His head tilted sideways towards his backpack. It was packed full of supplies: lubricant, blankets, water, and a few snacks just in case. Maybe more junk too.
Simon stared at the side of Grace's face expectantly, adding, "Only if you still want to, though. I'm just fine with watching the ocean too."
He did want to, of course. How long had it been since Grace had actually had sex with someone else?
Answer 1. Well over two decades.
Answer 2. His entire life, if only other men counted.
Answer 3. About 12 hours, if jacking himself off while Simon half-drunkenly sexy talked over their communicators last night counted.
Regardless, his answer was a resounding, "Yeah, I do. Just don't mess me up too badly, okay?"

He had privately dubbed the man Wireface, although he'd be the first to admit it was a crueler nickname than most of the others he had come up with. It wasn't like the other's either, where he simply chose not to ask their names, he was quite sure he couldn't have gotten Wireface's if he tried.
He had been determined not to get attached to anyone in the house, if for no other reason than that he didn't think his psyche could handle another loss if it were to happen. Of all the people he'd taken in he hardly expected it to be the foreigner he couldn't even hold a conversation with to challenge this conviction.
