Summary
Mai supposes it isn’t quite fair to heap all of the blame on Ty Lee. After all, Ty Lee likely had no idea what her actions had led to. Mai couldn’t entirely fault her for running off to the circus. What Mai could fault Ty Lee for was leaving without telling her. Mai would have understood. More than understood, Mai would have gone with her. Instead, Mai is trapped as an army of servants prepare her for her moment of reckoning.
Today is her wedding day.

Basically Zutara's version of the story of Oma and Shu + 'what if Zuko hadn't turned against them in Ba Sing Se?'

Summary
A collection of my Zutara fics that are, in my head, the same Zuko and Katara at different points in their story.
“Cricket Cranes” is loosely a reference to the classic Japanese folk tale, “the crane wife” (see part 2 chapter 6 for details) and to the folk/rock band of nearly the same name. All these fics pull their titles from The Crane Wives lyrics because of who I am as a human.

It’s kind of a long story, but the short version of it is this:
Zuko owes Sokka a favor, and Sokka owes Katara a job. Sokka cashes in on his favor, and that’s what leads to Zuko working the Monday afternoon shift with the girl he’s had a crush on since he was thirteen.
It’s cool. It’s fun. It’s calm.
(It is definitely not any of those things.)
