Despite all kids being naturally odd, some still get singled out and ostracized by their peers or adults. Izuku is no exception. He’s the freak always talking about a door–like there’s not millions of them–but his doors are different. They’re something people can’t quite make sense of.

In which Izuku is kinda weird and unnerving to others. His own mother doesn’t even like to be around him. He’s quirkless and more than fine with that. He doesn’t want to be a hero anyway. The only thing that gives him comfort in a world he doesn’t understand is a supposedly impossible door and the space that lies beyond it. Well at least his fascinating childhood friend is there for him.

ตั้งแต่เด็ก อิซึคุเห็นประตูมาตลอด แต่ก็ไม่ได้สนใจ จนตอนอายุ 10 ขวบ เห็นว่าแม่ไม่ค่อยมาเยี่ยมเขาแล้ว เลยลองเข้าไปสำรวจในประตูแค่ไม่กี่ชั่วโมง แต่พอออกมาก็ผ่านไปแล้ว 1 ปี แต่ไม่มีใครสนใจ ยกเว้นครอบครัวบาคุโก หลังจากนั้นคัตจังที่เคยห่างเหินก็กลับมาเป็นเพื่อนกับอิซึคุอีกครั้ง และเข้า UA ด้วยกัน คัตจังเข้าหลักสูตรฮีโร่ ส่วนอิซึคุที่ไร้อัตลักษณ์ (แพทย์ตรวจแล้วว่ามีข้อนิ้วเกินจริง) ไม่ได้สนใจฮีโร่ (หรือออลไมท์) เลยไปเรียนหลักสูตรทั่วไปแทน เจอเนดซุตอนสอบเข้า
นิสัยอิซึคุ จะไม่ค่อยเข้าใจผู้คน มักเลียนแบบการแสดงสีหน้าจากคัตจัง ไม่ได้รู้สึกอะไรกับการที่แม่ละเลย เฉยๆ กับฮีโร่ แค่เข้า UA เพราะคัตจังจะไป
คัตสึกิ ตอนแรกก็จะแกล้งเดกุไร้อัตลักษณ์ (เกือบเป็นเด็กเวร) แต่อิซึคุไม่อยากโดนตีเลยเปิด 'ประตู' คัตจังตอนเด็กหลงใน 'ประตู' ทำให้กลัวอิซึคุมากๆ เลยอยู่ห่างๆ ไปหลายปี จนเหตุอิซึคุหาย 1 ปี และเขาเป็นคนเดียวที่สังเกต จนพออิซึคุกลับมาเลยกลับมาสนิทกันเหมือนเดิม ล่าสุดจุ๊บอิซึคุแล้ว
อินโกะ สามีทิ้ง เห็นอิซึคุทารกไม่ร้องไห้ พอโตมาก็มีพัฒนาการช้า และไม่มีอัตลักษณ์ แต่มักจะเหลือบเห็น 'ประตู' เลยกลัวมาก ทำให้ละเลยลูก แบบค้างบ้านเพื่อนที่ทำงาน แวะไปวางเงินกับเติมอาหารเดือนละครั้ง ก่อนจะพบรักใหม่ เลยทิ้งอิซึคุไว้ แล้วย้ายไปอยู่กับแฟนใหม่ที่เมืองอื่น ทิ้งเบอร์เก่าไป (จ่ายค่าเช่าห้องแค่ปีครึ่ง ทำให้พอหมด อิซึคุเลยย้ายไปอยู่ใน 'ประตู' แทน)
