“I don’t— I can’t—” He took a shaky breath, swallowed, and tried again. “Don’t know if I can—”
“You can,” Astarion cut him off, his voice so low and soft and sweet that it made Kelyn whimper again. The elf squeezed his thigh, before brushing his hand up to his hip and gently kneading the muscle there. He brushed another soft, tickling kiss against him. “One more time, darling. For me.”
Kelyn swallowed, taking a shaky breath. There was no point in taking time to weigh his decision, really: he’d give Astarion anything if he asked for it. He looked down to find the elf watching him, waiting, his eyes searching.
The drow swallowed again, exhaled slowly, and nodded.
“One more time,” he murmured.Set some time post-game, once Kelyn and Astarion have settled down. One time, Kelyn goes off on his own short adventure, leaving Astarion to lounge around at home without him for the first time since they met. They both immediately regret it, and Astarion makes him pay for it when he gets back home.

Both Dagger and Astarion have their reasons for seeking each others company as they fall into what each believes is a quid pro quo relationship;
Dagger gets all the benefits of having his blood drank and Astarion gets his meal.The problem is that they agreed to totally different terms of the arrangement, and unable to ask for what either of them needs, the two of them make things much more complicated then they ever needed to be.

Dagger (the Dark Urge) is sick and Astarion is the unwitting cure, because surely it’s easier to pretend to have a bondage kink then tell the man you’re sleeping with “I want to tear into your skin and pull out your entrails when we fuck.”Or: Dagger finds a solution to his murderous tendencies during sex, while Astarion thinks his mark is just your average kinky freak. My personal take on the Astarion/Dark Urge romance with the idea of exploring why someone with the durge’s condition and all they have going on would let Astarion pursue them.
