Summary
The hallways to the history building are filled with stragglers as Ben heads toward the lecture hall. He’s not looking forward to the course; his interests lie in medieval studies, not World War II. Plus, his friend Dopheld heard that the visiting professor is a hardass—which is not something Ben needs in his senior year, and he’s already starting it off on the wrong foot.
Ben skids through the auditorium doors just as they’re closing. His eyes scan the row of seats, and perhaps he’s not totally out of luck because there’s an empty one in the back. It’s close to the end, and he thinks he can slip into it without Professor Hux noticing. It’s when Ben’s just settled in, having placed his backpack on the ground, that his professor turns around, his eyes focused on his tablet.
“Nice of you to join us, Mr. Solo,” Professor Hux begins, his brow furrowing as he stares at the attendance list.
“Holy fuck,” Ben whispers, wishing he could disappear into his seat. Because while Professor Armitage Hux may now wear a suit jacket and a pair of wire-rimmed glasses, there’s no mistaking his soft brogue. Or that it was his sinful mouth going down on Ben in the bathroom at the loft.
