“What’s with the outfits?” Neil asks as Andrew locks the door. “Are we eloping?”
Neil is joking, of course. He ignores the small twinge his own words inspire in him, because there’s no use in feeling it. Neil met Andrew on the roof of the campus gym last summer, and it was only weeks before he’d discovered that kissing could actually be kind of fun. Andrew kept showing him other things that were fun — so many other things, so fun — but throughout it all, Neil has remembered where he stands. “Don’t think that this is something that it's not,” Andrew had said, seconds after he’d wiped Neil’s spit off his lips that first night.
This is something, though — something Neil wants to keep.

There’s gossip, dancing, and many regent insults to be shared and lots of emotional denial. We love a pining, denying boy or two. Or more. We'll see.
This is very heavily, dare I say borderline Pride & Prejudice with AFTG characters at the start, but drastically changes as the story continues.This is my first long fic, please be kind ◕⩊◕
