It hadn't been the first time in his life that time had felt like it was about to stop forever. It hadn’t been the first time he had felt like a moment had been frozen for a lifetime when only seconds after it would speed up again, giving him no time to think or feel clearly, leaving a part of him forever stuck in that small, long moment of horror.

Summary
Eighteen-year-old Obi-Wan struggles to support Qui-Gon, who never recovered from the losses of Xanatos and Tahl. He's in pain from a blocked lifebond. All he wants is knighthood and a future with his bondmate. As Qui-Gon's mental health deteriorates, that dream seems to be slipping through his fingers.
-How could Obi-Wan's childhood trauma from his Legends backstory have happened in a Jedi Order run by responsible, caring adults, and what would his recovery from it realistically look like?

When Obi-Wan got back from Naboo, things were...different. The Jedi council had never been so cold to him, but his friends were the same as ever. Grappling with the death of his Master and the young boy he'd promised to raise, he didn't have much time to reflect on it. If he fought hard against the rising darkness, he could beat it back and only use the light. If he closed his eyes in front of the mirror, he didn't have to see their new yellow color. If he just ignored it, it would all go away.
