Angel Dust was never a spy for the Vees.
What if the 'sleeper agent' claim was solely to mess with Angel's head? Vox is a sadistic manipulator who repeatedly demonstrates that he will twist the truth or outright lie for his own benefit. We're all just supposed to accept his word at face value? What if his hypnosis is not only in-the-moment mind-control, but also lets him plant false memories? (But then, how did Vox know that Lucifer couldn't smite him?)

After Sir Pentious got caught spying on the Hazbin Hotel for the Vees, Velvette rolls her eyes and assigns one of her contracted souls to do it better. Melanie, a bat-like fashion designer, checks in and begins the official-unofficial Hazbin Vlog.
Meanwhile, in Heaven, Vaggie’s former bunkmate and best friend isn’t satisfied with the official story that Vaggie quit. Tori already knows that Adam and Lute keep secrets – like the medics, who the regular soldiers aren’t told about “for morale”. When Vaggie reappears in Heaven, at the side of the Princess of Hell, Tori and Emily team up and start looking into things that the High Seraph would rather were left alone.
